Welcome to 2020!

Happy New Year!

We made it to the next decade and welcome to 2020!  At the end of every year, during Boxing Week, I reflect on the year we just had and focus on the upcoming year.  I enjoy decluttering the office both the electronic and paper files.  However, this time I have not completed this task yet.  Yes, it is still on my "To-Do List" and will check it off by the end of the week.

Goodbye 2019

2019 was going to be once again the best year ever.  On the business and professional side of life, it certainly was!  One of my personal highlights of 2019 was being named Tech CEO of the Year which I dedicated to the amazing AlphaKORians' who just keep rockin' it.  They are dedicated and take care of everything all the time, after-hours, weekends, and holidays.  Our holiday dinner was a wonderful celebration of another great year.  There were so many good moments the Top Ten List turned out to have Six honorable mentions!

On the personal side, we said goodbye to one of my cousins, my brother-in-law, and my dad.  At times like this, you see life from a different perspective.   We spent a lot of time with the families, both mine and Carmela's family.  We shared a lot of happy memories, stories, and jokes.

Thank You Thank You Thank You

Thank you to all the people in our lives and we are truly blessed.  Everyone who called, messaged, visited, sent cards, flowers and arrangements, the food....we ate so many pasta and chicken dinners that I had to make a peanut butter jelly sandwich just to change it up!  Thank you for being here for us.

Thank you to Carmela, Haley, Syd, the family, extended families, friends, colleagues, clients, the AlphaKOR Family, my Partners, and their wives and the list goes on.   The last couple of months we did our best to balance life and work.  Everyone was supportive, understanding, and gave us the time we needed.  Thank you.

Staying Focused

Although I did unplug for a bit and took a weekend just for myself to unplug, I kept focused on getting back to the gym routine.  I have to compliment the coaches at the gym, F45 LaSalle.  After a couple of days of my return, they announced I had won a challenge and gave me two envelopes.  One of them was a sympathy card.  What I liked about what the coaches did was they knew about my dad, yet they did not say anything and kicked my butt into gear every morning.  Thank you for that.  At times like these, it is good to have people who care that much to help you stay focused!

Welcoming 2020

Hello, 2020.  We are looking forward to a great year as we celebrate AlphaKOR's 25 years in February!  Our business model keeps growing and getting better all the time.  We are investing in the latest tools, training, and best practices to help our clients embrace technology to help them reach and surpass their business goals.  It is exciting to be their Technology Partner working on their business plans, goals, and aspirations together.

My favourite business event is the Chamber Business Excellence Awards.   If you have not attended, I highly encourage you to.  It is the "Academy Awards" for business.  AlphaKOR is proud to have won three of these awards over the years.  There are a lot of excellent charity events and gala's and we enjoy supporting these as well.

Building Circles Topics

I invite you to e-mail frank@alphakor.com on topic suggestions.  If you would like to be considered as a Guest Blogger, send over a short bio and topic outline.  I was going to publish the most popular Building Circles blog "Entrepreneurs Are Vulnerable" and thought let me be open and vulnerable for my first blog this year.

Thanks to our Digital Marketing Team, I love this quote "Difficult Roads Lead To Beautiful Destinations".  Thank you for being part of my journey and look forward to where 2020 will take us!
