The Importance Of Giving Back

Do you give back to help everyone that may need help?  Each year, the AlphaKORians' give back to the community to several causes and fundraising events.   It is important for those who can to give back, especially at this time of year.

Hope for Jason

This year we are supporting one of our own, Jason, and his family.  During this difficult time, our goal is to help reduce day-to-day stressors for Jason and his family by providing financial support. This holiday season, our goal was to raise $500 by December 21st. The money raised will go towards purchasing gift cards for groceries, gas, and other essential items to support Jason and his family.

This week, the AlphaKORians surpassed our goal and raised over $1000.00!  In addition, the four founding partners have generously decided to match donations for Jason.  We wish Jason and his family all the best this holiday season and to make a bit of difference along his journey.

Art for Hospice

One of our long-term clients, John Martel, and his wife Kathy McGuire have graciously donated original artwork for AlphaKOR to auction.  The pieces donated include original nature and wildlife photography as large canvas prints by John Martel, as well as hand-painted wildlife portraits by Kathy McGuire.  Each artwork is for sale for a minimum price of $50.00; however, interested buyers can donate more for their chosen artwork up to $500.00.  Update: We have sold one artwork already!

All proceeds from the artwork sales will be donated to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.  Browse beautiful canvas prints and hand-painted works here from the Martel and McGuire Nature and Wildlife collection here.

AlphaKOR Holiday Food and Care Drive

AlphaKOR is running a food and care drive to support youth in need. Until December 21st, AlphaKOR will be accepting donations from staff members of non-perishable food items, as well as new hygienic products in support of the Windsor Youth Centre.

AlphaKOR has placed designated bins under the office Christmas Tree which have been growing in donations.  The Windsor Youth Centre is a program of The United Church Downtown Mission of Windsor Inc. Their purpose is to provide programs and services to benefit youth in need within the Windsor-Essex community.  To learn more about the Windsor Youth Centre and the services they provide, click here.
